Antenatal Clinic
Friday 10.30am - 12.00pm
Antenatal Booking
Fridays 9.30 - 10.30am. Patients are seen by the midwife or doctors at the clinics by appointment only.
Baby Clinic
Wednesday 10.00am - 11.00am. The baby clinics are run each Wednesday by one of the doctors for child development checks and a nurse will be on duty for immunisations.
The health visitor is available at Waterside Community Centre (Nr Norwood Lake) 26 Avenue Road, South Norwood, SE25 on Monday afternoons between 13.00-15.00 when babies can be weighed and any problems such as feeding or child health issues can be discussed.
Minor Surgery
All four doctors carry out minor surgery procedures by appointment.
Asthma, Diabetes and Family Planning
No set clinics are held and these services are provided by the doctors and nurses during surgery hours, by appointment.
Non NHS Services (for which a fee has to be paid)
The doctors are happy to issue private medical certificates, complete medical reports and carry out medical examinations for sports, insurance or driving licences. Examinations are arranged by appointment outside surgery hours. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment and ask at reception for the charges for these services.
Well Family Service
This service is run by a family support co-ordinator. Patients may self refer or be referred by a clinician.
Dietitian
Dietitians from Mayday Hospital attends the surgery regularly to advise patients referred to them by the doctors. Please ask your doctor about an appointment. Diabetic patients are seen by one of the dietitians who is specialised in this field.
Travel Immunisations/Vaccinations
Please make an appointment at least 8 weeks in advance of your holiday with a practice nurse to ensure adequate cover. Please note that this practice is not a Yellow Fever Centre.
Flu Vaccinations
An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, and residents of nursing and rest homes, and those over 65 years old. Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit may be arranged.
